Every Day Makeup Routine | My First YouTube Video!
You guys... I finally did it... MY FIRST YOUTUBE VIDEO! It's so exciting and I can't wait for more to come from it. It's a lot of work when I'm working on a blog plus a YouTube channel because it takes me ten times longer right now to edit a video... but that's okay because it used to take me just as long to edit a blog post and now I can in a matter of like five minutes. Eventually, I'll get the hang of it and my videos will be absolutely fantastic but right now they work you know. Anyways, I've just always wanted to do YouTube and be like a beauty guru and well now I finally have my first video up! It was nerve-wracking because I wanted everything to be completely perfect but I realized you know I did the best I could and worked hard on it and people will appreciate that.
Also, you all should know every time I upload a new makeup tutorial or GRWM or whatever onto my channel, that same day I will make a post with a step by step guide on how I did the makeup. That way, if you aren't into videos then well here's my step by step blog post you can read and work with. So anyway, this is my first post based off of my first video which was Get Ready With Me | Every Day Makeup Routine. So, now I'm going to stop rambling and write you guys this post and I sincerely hope you enjoy this post.
P.S. Leave a comment below and recommend some looks you would love for me to try out and post on YouTube and on here. Would love to hear from you all some fun looks I should try out. Also, don't forget to follow my social media and SUBSCRIBE to my channel! Thank you all for reading. :)
- The first thing I always love to do for my everyday makeup routine is conceal. Normally I would use a primer before but on this day I was out so I just started off by using my concealer which is called camouflage and I believe it's by Hard Candy (I will link it below) and just conceal under my eyes, my nose to highlight a little, and of course an acne spot because we all have to fight those nasty things from time to time.
- After I'm done applying my concealer I just blend that all in really well using my fingers because they tend to work better for me when it comes to concealer.
- Once I am all blended out, I like to grab my foundation and I use the Covergirl Clean foundation which will be linked below. How I apply it is just dump a little onto my hand and take my finger and apply a little bit on each part of my face I want good coverage.
- Then I'll grab my foundation/blending brush and just blend that and apply it all over my face and a little towards my ears to ensure a good blend and there are no streaks and lines.
- Once I finish blending that out well, I grab my setting powder which is I believe by Bare Minerals and just apply that all over my face to blend out the liquid foundation and to set it all in.
- After I finish with that I like to start on contour and highlight. With my E.L.F contour and highlight palette, I just go in with the highlighter and my buffing brush and HEAVILY, because I love highlighter, add that onto my cheekbones, nose, cupid's bow, and temples on my forehead.
- Then I'll go in with my Face palette by Profusion and use the golden, and gorgeous I must say, highlighter and just apply that to the same places. Then I'll use my finger to add even more because sometimes the brush doesn't cut it.
- Once I finish with highlighter I like to start contouring. To contour, I use my E.L.F contour and highlight palette and go in with the third shade. Then I grab my contour brush and start under my cheekbones, blending that until it looks natural. After that's blended I'll go to the temples of my forehead where my hairline is and just blend that out really well too.
- To contour my nose I actually use my base shadow brush and just brush it on my nose as if it were paint. Then I like to blend it in really well with my fingers to make it look really natural.
- Once I'm all contoured, I like to start on my brows. The E.L.F palette is my friend again for this. So I use shade 4, the darkest shade in the palette, and my eyebrow tool and just brush my brows out and then turn to the angled side and start filling in my brows with that darkest shade. Honestly, I just go with how my brows look, I don't try to change them or make myself look fake or unnatural especially for this easy everyday makeup.
- Then I go in with my Naked 3 palette for my eyes and my base shadow brush and just use the shade trick which is the bright, sparkly, orange shade. Honestly, I wear this all the time because it's so pretty and really makes your eyes pop, especially blue eyes. So anyway, I'll just apply that to my lid then blend it up into my crease.
- Once that's all good and blended, I go in with my deluxe crease brush and the shade mugshot and then apply that into my crease. Most of the time I like to blend that out with my brush that's already in my palette.
- Then I go with the first shade in the palette the lightest one in my inner corners and just blend that with my finger. Then go in with my E.L.F palette's highlight and just add that to the inner corners and my brow bone just to add that extra pop to my eyes and make me look more awake.
- After I finish that I like to use my Naked 3 palette brush on the flat end and just stamp on a little more of trick on the inner part of my lid to make that color shine again.
- Now that I'm finished with my shadow, I go ahead and curl my lashes just using your literal most basic lash curler.
- Once I feel like I've got my lases curled enough I go in with my NYX full figured mascara which is absolutely my favorite because it never makes my lashes clumpy or boring. This mascara is literally the best. Then I'll just go in with my DEFINE-A-LASH volume mascara by Maybelline I believe which is really good if you don't put too much.
- While I wait for my mascara to dry I like to go ahead and do my lips. For this look, I used my Rimmel Kate Collection in the shade 54 or 54 and apply that and blend it in.
- Once that's applied evenly and enough, I like to go in with my Jordana sweet cream matte lip in the shade 01 creme brulee. It smells SO good and looks so so good. Normally, I don't like the way matte lip glosses make your lips look cracked or dried out but this one does such a good job and doesn't make your lips look that way.
- After I'm finished with my lips, I just go in with my E.L.F setting spray and spray that everywhere because who doesn't want all that hard work to stay on their face for as long as possible?!?
- Now that I'm all set and sprayed, I'm all finished with makeup. Then I just straighten or style my hair, however, I feel like for the day and I'm ready to go!
